She's now a first grader!

Yesterday was Caitlin's last day of school . She's quite proud to now be a first grader (she tells everyone). The class had a little program at the end of the day for the parents. They sang a bunch of songs

And then we got to look through a "memory book" that the teacher had put together for each student of some of the work they had done over the year

The last few weeks leading up to the end of the school year were pretty busy. There was a spring concert:

And a couple of field trips. In May they went to the Zoo (Jon went with).

And last week I got to go along with Caitlin to the Whale Museum in Friday Harbor. The highlight of the trip for Caitlin was getting to go on the Ferry:

Thankfully it was a beautiful, sunny day!
